Overview

CSVA2Z is a powerful tool for uploading, editing, remapping, and exporting CSV files. It supports advanced editing, undo/redo, column remapping, merge previews, and streamlined data preparation for import into systems like Shopify or QuickBooks.

1. Uploading CSV Files

To get started:

• Click the file input labeled Select Input CSV to load your main CSV file.
• The headers and rows will automatically be parsed and displayed in an editable table.
• You can also optionally upload a secondary file labeled Select Output CSV Headers which determines how your headers will be remapped.

2. Editing Data

• All cells are editable via inline text inputs.
• Double-click any header cell to map it to a different output field using a dropdown menu.
• You can also type directly into any field to change its value.

Keyboard Navigation

• Use Arrow Keys to move between cells.
• Use Ctrl+Z/Ctrl+U to undo changes.
• Use Ctrl+Y/Ctrl+R to redo changes.
• Hold Shift + arrow keys to select and bulk update a column with a single value.

Mouse Selection

• Click and drag within a column to bulk update selected cells with the top cell's value.

3. Remapping & Export

• After editing, click Create to preview how the remapped CSV will look using the target headers.
• The preview is shown in a new table. You can cancel and return to editing anytime.
• Click Download to export the remapped CSV as export.csv.

4. Merging CSVs

Use the Merge CSV button to combine multiple CSV files:

• Click Merge to open the popup window.
• Select two or more CSV files with identical headers.
• The tool will validate and combine rows into a single file.
• A preview is shown, and the result can then be exported.
• If headers don't match, you'll receive an error message indicating the issue.

5. Tips and Limitations

• Ensure consistent headers across merged files.
• Large CSVs (over 5,000 rows) may take time to render fully.
• Current merge functionality does not support fuzzy column matching or deduplication — headers must match exactly.
• Data is processed client-side. No files are uploaded to a server.
